The IORA Secretariat has the honor to refer to the Khwarizmi International Award (KIA) awarded annually by the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST), which houses the IORA Regional Center for Science and Technology Transfer (RCSTT).

The Khwarizmi International Award (KIA) was established in 1987 to recognize the efforts and achievements of researchers, innovators and inventors from different countries and to appreciate their outstanding research work and contributions to different fields of science and technology. The KIA Award consists of a cash prize of USD 20,000/-, a trophy and a certificate.

The IORA RCSTT, at the request of IROST, is planning to facilitate the participation of participants from IORA Member States and Dialogue Partners in the 37th Khwarizmi International Award (KIA). The call for entries is now open and invites candidates to take part in this competition by submitting their applications online by clicking HERE

The application deadline is November 1, 2023. Further information about KIA is also available at website http://www.khwarizmi.ir.

KIA winners will be invited to attend a special awards ceremony to be held in Tehran, I.R. Iran.
