The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed it will fully finance the 4th IORA Sustainable Cruise Terminal Management Programme 2026 which will be held in Rome Cruise Terminal, Civitavecchia from November 16-20, 2026.

IORA is the Indian Ocean Rim Association, an intergovernmental organization of 23 member states and 12 dialogue partners and focuses on regional cooperation across six priority areas ( one of which is Maritime Safety & Security). The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides support to IORA and the Sustainable Cruise Terminal programme is a component of the cooperation. The first session was held in 2023 and attached is a summary of the Evaluation Report 2025 + Press release..

The programme will be organized with RCT, Formare, Confitarma and Costa and will substantially replicate the 2025 format. The goal is to have approximately 10 senior attendants from different IORA countries, interested in learning and sharing knowledge about sustainable cruise terminals.

You are welcome to flag potential candidates as the scope of the exercise is also to create and consolidate relations and networking in the IORA countries.
