“Bridging H₂orizons to Sky: Synergizing ‘Made in Italy’ Modular Hydrogen Technologies with Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) in Sri Lanka.“
This initiative is conducted in strategic collaboration with the Observatory on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) at Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI)—Italy’s premier technical university—with whom the WUC has entered into a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to pioneer sustainable urban development.
Drawing on the successful “Sandbox” models of Rome and Padua, the WUC is exploring the localized production of green hydrogen through modular, containerized stations. This technology, already validated in Italy, will serve as the energy backbone for a new era of transport: refueling drones and eVTOL aircraft for passenger, cargo, and emergency services. Our goal is to position Sri Lanka at the global forefront of the “People’s Hydrogen Economy.”
