On the 12th of November 2020, the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) launched the new Blue Economy Window – BlueInvest 2020 call for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that want to develop innovations in the Blue Economy.

In particular, the call is aimed at projects that will have to develop and bring to market new products, services, and business models that can create profitable activities but at the same time develop a sustainable and innovative Blue Economy in European sea basins.

EMFF has allocated a maximum budget of € 20 million. Beneficiary SMEs can obtain up to 70% co-financing for their projects with an average EU contribution of between € 700,000 and € 2,500,000. Small and medium-sized enterprises based in the EU can participate individually or in partnership.
