In New Delhi, the Center for Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries Science and Technology (NAM S&T Centre), in collaboration with IORA, will host a two-day international seminar on the “Impacts of Climate Change on Small States island developing countries” on February 28-29, 2024 in virtual mode.

This workshop is a part of the continued collaboration between IORA and the NAM S&T Centre though the renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two organisations signed in September 2022.

Member States may be aware that SIDS are among the parties least responsible for climate change and are dependent on others to ensure that significant action is taken in their support. As a result, SIDS need international assistance to help them cope with the impacts of climate change – through capacity building, technology transfer, financial support, and availability of other resources to build a more sustainable future.

IORA Member States are invited to nominate experts and professionals to attend the Virtual Workshop.
