Kenya is one of the IORA’s countries. After 2018, when it was organized the Blue Economy conference in Nairobi, the African State promotes a lot of events and projects in all Blue Economy sectors.

Last year the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, has said his government will invest in the Blue Economy which, has been identified as a priority sector under the Vision 2030 development agenda. The investment possibilities are still open and offer to local, international, and Italian stakeholders many opportunities in sectors like aquaculture and fisheries, water management, energy, manufacturing, marine transport, tourism, and the environment.
