The new project by Cassa Depositi Prestiti Venture Capital SGR – Fondo Nazionale Innovazione, which takes the name of Faros Accelerator, was recently presented in the frame of the citadel of companies in Taranto. Faros is an accelerator and incubator for all those who in various capacities deal with Blue Economy. The aim is therefore to strengthen the relationships between startups, corporate stakeholders and public administration by contributing to the creation of a value chain in the field of the Blue Economy, an approach that places innovation at the center of processes, governance and results. The acceleration and open innovation program was created to support innovative startups that aim to develop sustainable, innovative and responsible solutions in the port, blue economy, blue growth and ocean industry sectors.

The names of the Blueconomy Startups that will participate in the first edition of the Faros acceleration program were also announced at the presentation event. After an open call that attracted more than 120 applications from over 29 countries, today in Taranto, the selected startups met their corporate and institutional partners during the kick-off event of the program, a two-day event full of interventions and networking.
