The Secretariat of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) has the honour to refer to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) and IORA concluded on 21 April 2025.
The Secretariat is pleased to inform you that CDRI is welcoming submissions for a photo contest to capture indigenous and traditional practices that have helped communities build resilience to natural hazards.
| Points to consider for the submission: One original photograph and a brief description in English (up to approximately 250 words). The description should address why the captured practice is resilient and unique. The contest is open to all individuals and institutions globally, including CDRI Member Countries. Prizes include in-kind contributions valued at up to $1000, $600 and $400. Winning and commended entries will be exhibited and published by CDRI across its website, social channels, events, and knowledge products before a global audience. Entries should be submitted on or before 09 October 2026 (23:59 IST) through CDRI-Projects. |
The Secretariat of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) avails itself of this opportunity to renew to all IORA Member States and Dialogue Partners the assurances of its highest consideration.
