IORA member Oman is organizing a “Course of study and training on health management, disease diagnosis and treatment of farmed species in the IORA region for the development of sustainable aquaculture“, which will be held from 22 to 26 October 2023, in Oman

The general objective of the educational study program is to develop and strengthen existing knowledge on the sustainable development of aquaculture through knowledge sharing. The aim is to provide technicians from IORA Member States with a broader understanding of how to apply and implement good practices to improve aquaculture production in their respective countries.

The training study tour will focus on the following topics: Fish welfare & Health; Standard operating procedures for aquaculture facilities & preventive actions (regional, national and farm level); Quality Control & Hygiene; Biosecurity Guidelines and practices; Audit for biosecurity; Microbial community Management; Disease treatment monitoring and legislative aspects; Health & Disease Management

Member States and Dialogue Partners can register until 20 September 2023.
