Save the date of the 28th January, from 10:00 to 12:30 (CET), when SEArica, in cooperation with Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the European Commission and the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions, will organize a webinar entitled “A blue dimension to the Green Deal: The way towards a sustainable recovery of the blue economy in Europe”.
The discussion will be opened by Virginijus Sinkevičius, Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries and Tonino Picula, MEP and Chair of the SEArica Intergroup. Jan-Christoph Oetjen (RE), Petros Kokkalis (GUE), Pierre Karleskind (RE), Vangelis Meimarakis (EPP), Josianne Cutajar (S&D) and further SEArica members will react to the different panels.
The online event was designed to engage regional, national, and sectoral blue economy stakeholders, members of the European Parliament, and high-level officials from the European Commission on various aspects of the blue economy. The webinar will conclude the feedback process on the EC Roadmap on the sustainable blue economy.
