The Garbage Patch State, i.e. the state formed by the plastic that floats dangerously and harmfully in the oceans, is 10 years old. The national symbolism was strongly desired by the architect. Maria Cristina Finucci.
On the occasion of World Oceans Day, the Permanent Representative of Italy to the United Nations in Rome, Bruno Archi, and the president of the Garbage Patch State, arch. Maria Cristina Finucci will celebrate this tenth anniversary of the foundation of The Garbage Path State, with an event to be held on Thursday 8 June, at 10:30, at the FAO Sheikh Zayed Centre, in viale delle Terme di Caracalla.
The initiative, which sees the architect very busy. Finucci, aims to inform and sensitize institutions and public opinion on the environmental disaster caused by the huge islands of plastic, especially bottles, which sail uncontrolled and in continuous growth in different parts of the oceans.
The event will be attended by representatives of the institutions and will conclude with a round table. To find out more, visit the website: www.garbagepatchstate.org
