The Blue Economy workshops organized by the IORA are back! On June 8, an online event entitled “Blue Economy: Modern Challenges and Perspectives for the Indian Ocean Region” will be organized by the Department for Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects, Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, which since the beginning of last year he joined as Dialogue partner of IORA.

Here is some useful and important information to know

The Workshop will be based on discussions among experts coming from governments, NGOs, MSMEs and academia. All IORA Member States and IORA Dialogue Partners are welcome and invited to attend the Workshop. The number of active participants is unlimited.

Focal points of the IORA Member States are welcome to nominate their proposed speakers/ active participants, while IORA Dialogue Partners are welcome to suggest active participants through the following procedure:

  1. Focal points are required to send the Nomination Form (ANNEXII) to the contacts indicated in the form with the details of the nominated speakers or active participants applying to attend the Workshop through e-mail by the deadline.
  2. The deadline for nominating speakers is 22 May, for active participants – 31 May.
  3. Speakers will be required to submit their presentations to the Project Overseer via email by no later than 7 June (2:00 PM, Moscow Time). The Workshop will be conducted virtually to ensure that the participants of this event will be able to efficiently interact with speakers, mentors and other participants. Online participation requires access to computer, availability of digital camera and headset with microphone or speakerphone.
